RTD-Guest

RTD-Guest: Unique "Inverse" RTK product.

Geodetics' RTD-Guest offers a unique "Inverse RTK" solution. Using RTD-Guest, a rover can obtain full network adjusted RTK solutions (point-to-multipoint) at each epoch, with no additional rover hardware or software required.

In traditional point-to-point RTK, GPS measurements are sent from a base station to a rover, and the rover utilizes its built in RTK software to compute the rover solution.

Utilizing the RTD-Guest server, the rolls are reversed. In this case, the rover sends its GPS measurements to the server and the server computes the solution.

The solution computed by the RTD-Guest server offers several significant advantages over the traditional point-to-point approach. Firstly, the server makes use of multiple base stations in the reference receiver network it controls to compute a network adjusted estimate of the rover position. Essentially, this is a point-to-multipoint approach which is much more reliable than point-to-point positioning.

Further, the solution benefits from the RTD-Guest server Epoch-by-Epoch® capability to provide a network adjusted rover solution for each and every epoch, so the problems of initialization and re-initialization are eliminated.
