Accurate Positioning of UAV
Geodetics has been involved in several projects with the U.S. Navy related
to their unmanned autonomous vehicle (UAV) programs. The objective of
the projects is to provide high-accuracy absolute and relative positioning
between multiple unmanned vehicles in real-time.
The Urban Robot shown (URBOT) is a small UGV intended for use by Army engineers for tunnel, sewer, cave, and urban structure reconnaissance.
Geodetics technologies were integrated with the URBOT to enable centimeter-level positioning capabilities for URBOT swarming functionalities.
