Products
Geodetics' products address
the needs of a wide range of precision GPS applications from accurate
real-time positioning and navigation of
military aircraft performing high G maneuvers, to wide-area reference
network management systems for
monitoring hundreds of GPS sensors in areas of high
geological activity for public safety.
Geodetics customers have
successfully deployed the products in many static and dynamic
applications including surveying,
deformation monitoring, mapping, airborne navigation, wireless and
hand-held applications, fleet tracking, machine control
and a range of military applications.
Static Positioning
Geodetics' RTD-Net
and RTD-L1 products are
designed for static positioning and monitoring applications. In static
positioning all the GPS antennas are stationary, and one or more of
them, known as reference stations or base stations, have locations
(coordinates) which are accurately known in advance. These
reference stations, together with their prior coordinates, impose the
coordinate system in which all other stations are positioned.
Dynamic and Kinematic Positioning
Geodetics'
RTD-Pro, RTD-Rover,
RTD-Guest
and Vector products are designed
for kinematic and dynamic applications, where several or all stations
are moving.
In kinematic positioning,
one or more base (reference)
stations are static with coordinates that are known in advance, but all
other stations are free to move. These rover stations are positioned
relative to the base station (or base stations).
In Dynamic positioning,
none of the stations are
static. Accordingly, no coordinates are available a priori for
any station. The relative positions of these stations are obtained by
combining the phase and code observations from all stations
simultaneously.
